‘2012 UNESCO Education for International Understanding Forum’was held from 13 to 15 in November at Amoris Convention Hall, Seoul Times Square under the theme of ‘The World of Work Toward Living Together’. The forum was organized by APCEIU and sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and Intel. For this year’s international forum, APCEIU invited the 9 exemplary leaders from Social Enterprises, NGOs and NPOs from Afghanistan, Australia, Japan, India, Iran, Korea and Vietnam to introduce the various changes and social issues occurring in the region and examine their invaluable work toward the common good from the educational perspective.
Starting with the congratulatory remarks by Professor Choe Jae-Chun (Ewha Womans University), the keynote addresses were delivered by Professor Han Kyung-Koo (Seoul National University) and Dr. Sakena Yacoobi (Founding Executive Director, Afghan Learning Institute). Also, Park Yong-June (Editor in Chief, INDIGO, Korea), Choi Young-Hwan (CEO, Mtree, Korea), Masa Kogure (Executive Director, Table for Two, Japan), Arron Wood (Founder & Managing Director, Firestarter, Australia), Mohammad Ahyaee (Coordinator, Ariya Institute, Iran), Harish H. Hande (Founder and Managing Director, Selco Solar, India) and Jimmy Pham (CEO, KOTO, Vietnam) participated as speakers of the forum. Around 200 participants attended including Social Enterprises, NGOs, NPOs representatives, teachers and university students from Korea shared their thoughts through the forum.

The 2012 UNESCO forum was started at 12/Nov/2012 and it is in progress now. Today the lecturers was present their works. Mohammad Ahyaee presented his research by title: Arts and crafts in indigenous culture of Iran as self-purification conduct for peace and harmony between nature and mankind, and protective activities of CAI (The Companions of Ariya Institute).
