The World Migratory Bird Campaign in Bio cultural diversity experimental workshop
Experiencing the bio cultural diversity of Iran’s workshops has started since 2014. The objective of this workshop is the direct experience of Iran’s bio cultural diversity evidence in the nature, and cultural places outside the Institute. This workshop is for children and teenagers in the form of Arta workshop sessions and for adults after or during participation in other workshops of the institute.
The third bio cultural diversity experimental workshop was held with participation of 27 people in Ray including: two facilitators, three facilitator assistants, one documentarist and twenty one students.
Eshgh-Abad wetland
Around 10:40 am, the group entered the Ghaleh-No area of Eshgh-Abad village. The edging of the Eshgh-Abad wetland every year is the host of 151 species of migrant birds. The students were lucky to see some of the species including:
Slavonian Grebe
Pied Kingfisher
Pied Stonechat
Western Marsh Harrier
Grey Heron
Great Egert
Litle Egert
Purple Heron
Black Head Gull
The source of Eshgh-Abad wetland is Ghomi-Abad village’s qanat. Damavand’s mountaintop and Tochal heights view and the vision of calmed down birds on the lake was the best part of this section of workshop.
The breakfast was eaten beside the Eshgh-Abad’s educational marines’ complex, and while viewing the migrant birds.
Walking for an hour in canebrakes and beach of the Eshgh-Abad wetland and visiting the nature and wild life of the area was noticeable.
2015 Campaign
In this case we are going to do some activities like bird watching, educational issues, making documentaries, festivals, bird camps and media events about migrant birds for 2015.
